1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly (name, email, date of birth, weight/height, health conditions and dietary preferences you choose to share, workout and nutrition logs, progress photos, payment details processed by our payment provider) and information generated by your use of the app (usage events, device type).

2. Minimum Age

SCALEFEIN is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, contact us at support@scalefein.com.

3. Health & Dietary Information

Any health conditions or dietary preferences you enter are optional, used only to personalise nutrition guidance shown to you, and are never shown to other users, used in leaderboards, or sold to third parties. This information is not medical advice.

4. Third Parties We Share Data With

We use the following third-party services to operate SCALEFEIN. Each processes only the data needed to provide its service:

• Base44 — our application hosting, database, authentication and file storage provider.
• Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions and purchases. We never see or store your full card details.
• Apple App Store / StoreKit — payment processing for subscriptions purchased on iOS.
• AI model providers (used for the AI nutrition/workout coach, food photo scanning, and content moderation) — receive the text/images you submit to those features solely to generate a response; they are not used to build advertising profiles.
• Barcode/nutrition lookup providers — receive the barcode you scan to return product nutrition data.

5. Cookies & Tracking

SCALEFEIN does not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or session-replay/screen-recording tools. We record anonymous, in-app usage events (e.g. feature usage counts) to understand how the app is used; no keystrokes, form input, or screen recordings are captured.

6. Data Retention

When you delete your account, your profile and personal data are removed from active systems within 24 hours. Data may remain in backups for up to 30 days, and payment/transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by tax law.

7. Your Rights

You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time from Profile → Settings, including a full account deletion option. To exercise other data rights, contact support@scalefein.com.
